Here is a remedy that Ton often refers to, that is not easily found in the standard materia medica or repertory, and which hasn’t yet found its way into the Human Chemistry books.

SECALE CORNUTUM

The essence
Misery and suppression of the pain of loss after miscarriage or abortion or a still-birth.
This is a very important remedy that I successfully prescribe after miscarriages, abortions or in cases of pre-eclampsia where the life of the unborn child was threatened. Also for patients whose mother had such problems before their birth, or they were unwanted.
 
Picture
There is always grief after the loss of the embryo or foetus, whether from miscarriage or abortion. Sometimes the woman may not even be aware of this. Also, this remedy is useful when the woman has had a copper IUD.
 
Application
Following miscarriage or abortion;
When the placenta prematurely releases or retained placenta following the birth of the child;
Threatened miscarriage;
Absence of contractions;
Smelly, dark menses;
Smelly dark coloured or dark green lochia (DD Medorrhinum);
Decaying secretions with a putrid smell.
